At the heart of the Grand Site of the Dune du Pilat, every day, women and men work with dedication to reconcile two requirements: preserve an exceptional site and make it accessible<\/strong>These landscapes, where nature and history intertwine, are not simple postcards. They live thanks to the discreet but essential commitment of the teams on the ground.<\/strong>

Behind these emblematic panoramas, a delicate balance is at play: restoring without distorting, anticipating weaknesses (traffic, erosion, etc.) and innovating for sustainable management.

The shell path (made from oysters from the Bassin) is a fine example of this innovation. It allows, among other things, people with reduced mobility to reach the Grand Site cabin village.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This week, the teams are continuing to place wood bark from local species in several places in the reception area that are subject to erosion (traffic, passage, bad weather, etc.): along the shell path, near the bicycle racks, parking spaces, etc.

These operations respond to various challenges: landscape integration, accessibility and the fight against soil erosion.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
