{"id":27513,"date":"2025-11-28T14:31:08","date_gmt":"2025-11-28T13:31:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ladunedupilat.com\/?p=27513"},"modified":"2025-11-28T14:31:09","modified_gmt":"2025-11-28T13:31:09","slug":"signing-of-the-agreement-at-banc-darguin-in-mauritania","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ladunedupilat.com\/en\/signature-convention-banc-darguin-en-mauritanie\/","title":{"rendered":"SIGNING OF THE AGREEMENT \u2013 BANC D&#039;ARGUIN IN MAURITANIA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>On Thursday, September 25, an unprecedented framework agreement for cooperation was signed on the Dune reception area between the Syndicat Mixte de la Grande Dune du Pilat, SEPANSO Aquitaine (Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 pour l&#039;\u00e9tude, la protection et l&#039;am\u00e9nagement de la nature dans le Sud-Ouest), the association Les Deux Arguins and the Parc National du Banc d&#039;Arguin in Mauritania.<\/strong><br><br>As a reminder, there is the Banc d&#039;Arguin off the coast of Mauritania. It is a protected area of 12,000 km\u00b2, including 180 km of coastline. Sharing a common history and heritage, the two Bancs d&#039;Arguin are symbolically joining forces through the signing of this agreement.<br><strong><br>Four main areas structure this cooperation:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Improving scientific knowledge of the natural, cultural and archaeological heritage of the two territories.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Strengthening skills and exchanges in conservation and environmental education.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sustainable development and responsible management of ecotourism, by sharing experiences and good governance practices between Mauritania and France.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The consolidation of socio-cultural exchanges, with attention paid to common environmental issues and the mobilization of local actors.<\/strong><br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>A joint Steering Committee will define the priorities for
