REOPENING OF THE RECEPTION AREA
Following the passage of the Caetano depression and the work of the Joint Syndicate teams to secure access to the site (numerous branches broken and fallen to the ground), the reception area of the Grand Site de la Dune du Pilat is now reopened!
The staircase facilitating the ascent of the Dune is currently dismantled. As a reminder, we remove it before each winter because it would be buried by the sand during winter storms and the natural retreat of the Dune towards the forest.
It will be installed again next spring.
Access to the dune ridge remains possible all year round. For a few months, the ascent is only via the sand.
