More than three years after the devastating fire of July 2022, the scars remain visible, both in the forest landscape and in the hearts of those who live in and protect it. To extend the reflection begun by the 600° exhibition, on display since the beginning of summer in the visitor center of the Dune du Pilat, a screening of the documentary film of the same name is being offered on Friday, December 12 .
Directed by The Partners , Created by a collective of photographers, the film 600° approaches the fire from a sensitive and artistic perspective. Through a combination of images, stories, and testimonies, it recounts the forest of yesterday and today: its organization, its management, and the ecological, human, and landscape challenges it faces. More than just a documentary, it invites us to reflect on our relationship with this living, fragile, and constantly changing territory.
The screening will be followed by a discussion moderated by Frédéric Corbion , one of the directors, and Joel Peyrou , photographer of the collective. Together, they will revisit the genesis of the project, the emotions that drove it and the perspectives it opens up.
