To prevent it from being completely buried in sand during the winter, the staircase providing access to the Dune on its eastern slope is being dismantled. Indeed, it's easy to forget that the highest dune in Europe is mobile and moves 1 to 5 meters inland each year, mainly as a result of storms and their strong winds that carry sand.
The staircase will be back with the sunny days, in spring!
In the meantime, the dune remains accessible, you will just need to allow a little more time to reach the top!
The cabin village continues to welcome you and the services (restaurant, cultural shops, information point and discovery cabin) remain open!
