What if you (re)discovered the Dune du Pilat in a new way? The Dune is a living, constantly evolving landscape where history, biodiversity, and various uses (walking, hiking, etc.) intersect. In 2026, our outreach team invites you to... brand new program of mediation activities and nature activities to explore the site, understand it, observe it… and let yourself be surprised. Guided walks, sunrise hikes, storytelling walks, information points with telescopes, kayak trips and outings with our partners: all year round, the Dune tells its story in a different way.

Another look at a sand giant

Why is the Dune du Pilat here? How was it formed? What secrets does this unusual landform between forest and ocean hold? Through guided tours, dune crest hikes, and nature activities, our educators invite you to uncover the secrets of this remarkable site. Whether with family, friends, or on your own, you'll discover the history of the Dune, its fauna and flora, the surrounding forest, and the challenges of protecting this fragile ecosystem.

Throughout the year, the discovery cabin, at the foot of the Dune, also welcomes you to better understand the formation of the landscapes, the biodiversity and the current events of the site.
