Winter activities

The Dune du Pilat can also be explored in winter! During the winter holidays, guided walks and a storytelling walk (both free) invite locals and visitors to rediscover this iconic site, far from the summer crowds. It's the perfect time to enjoy the winter light, the fresh air, and a more intimate atmosphere on Europe's tallest dune.

A storytelling walk for the family

The Wednesday, February 25th at 2:30 PM, A family-friendly storytelling walk, suitable for children aged 6 and up, extends this winter interlude. Guided by Myriam's voice, children and adults alike are swept away by stories inspired by the Dune, its winds, its trees, and its discreet inhabitants, discovering the site in a new light, through imagination and storytelling. It's the perfect outing to share a timeless moment while raising awareness among younger generations about the beauty and fragility of this natural environment.
