LANDSCAPE INTEGRATION AND DAILY TEAM WORK
At the heart of the Grand Site of the Dune du Pilat, every day, women and men work with dedication to reconcile two requirements: preserve an exceptional site and make it accessibleThese landscapes, where nature and history intertwine, are not simple postcards. They live thanks to the discreet but essential commitment of the teams on the ground.
Behind these emblematic panoramas, a delicate balance is at play: restoring without distorting, anticipating weaknesses (traffic, erosion, etc.) and innovating for sustainable management.
The shell path (made from oysters from the Bassin) is a fine example of this innovation. It allows, among other things, people with reduced mobility to reach the Grand Site cabin village.

This week, the teams are continuing to place wood bark from local species in several places in the reception area that are subject to erosion (traffic, passage, bad weather, etc.): along the shell path, near the bicycle racks, parking spaces, etc.
These operations respond to various challenges: landscape integration, accessibility and the fight against soil erosion.
